Terms of Service

> 1. Acceptance
By installing or using FidelDoc (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These terms apply to the free Android application distributed through Google Play under the package ID com.semahegn.fideldoc.
> 2. License
FidelDoc is a proprietary application provided free of charge. All rights are reserved by Semahegn Adugna. The compiled app distributed through Google Play is provided at no cost for personal and commercial use. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the application or its source code without explicit written permission.
> 3. Permitted Use
You may use FidelDoc to:
- Perform OCR on documents in Amharic, Afaan Oromo, Tigrinya, and other supported languages
- Merge, split, compress, and convert PDF documents
- Convert images to PDF and vice versa
- Process documents for personal, academic, or commercial purposes
> 4. Prohibited Use
You may not use FidelDoc to:
- Process documents you do not have the right to access or copy
- Infringe on copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the compiled application
> 5. No Warranty
FidelDoc is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or produce perfectly accurate OCR results. OCR accuracy depends on document quality, font, and language complexity.
> 6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Semahegn Adugna and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of FidelDoc, including but not limited to data loss, document corruption, or reliance on OCR output.
> 7. Third-Party Content
OCR language pack files are downloaded from public repositories (primarily the Tesseract project). We do not control these resources and cannot guarantee their availability. Downloaded pack files are stored locally on your device.
> 8. Updates
We may update these terms. Updates will be published at this URL. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will also be noted in the app's Play Store changelog.
> 9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
